Ruling:
In Favor of Plaintiff.
Case Summary:
This case discusses whether the DM has the power to decide the type of creature summoned with the Conjure Animals spell. Kaylee wants to decide for herself, but her DM believes that the power resides with the DM. At the time of the hearing, a compromise had been reached where Kaylee must roll on a random table.
Verdict:
The court agrees that the DM is correct "RAW", but Justice Murph invoked the "Rule of Cool" (ROC) clause. Justice Tanner offered a new compromise where the player would continue to roll on the table, but doing so with advantage. Justice Axford supports this new compromise. Justice Murph concludes that the "DM is right, but is a knob". Justice Caldwell rules in favor of the player under the ROC clause.
